Arcade and The Puppet Co.

This is another shot from Glen Echo Park. Since I haven’t been in the arcade I have no idea what is in there but The Puppet Company was playing Pinocchio based on the sign in the box office.

This image gave me fits and it almost got tossed out. It took some Google searches to fix the weird lens flare that happened but I got it to the point where it would work. Then it was time to tame the yellow which saturated everything in the image. I lost count of the number of layers and masks I did to get the image to where I wanted it on top of all the dodging and burning that went on.

In the end I really liked how it came out. No stunning master piece but a lot going on visually to make it interesting.

I like the photo. More of Glenn Echo Park. The buildings I do not recognize. The puppet shows sounds nice for the young families. The dancing and the puppet show I presume are part of more activities in the park. I remember the park was large. I must explore online just what makes up Glenn Echo now. I see by “L”s comments that the puppet show is expensive. So many good ideas for children are out of reach for families or even elementary school children if the population of the school is very diverse.

I have been to The Puppet Company for field trips. You need to save up for awhile if you want to buy tickets. Not exactly bargain basement. Maybe now that you have made them world famous by photographing them for your blog they will cut a poor starving teacher and her class a break and let us attend for FREE! One can hope. Let me know if they contact you on that.
