Gulf Sunset

I know I promised no more Thailand but when one has a rough day you go for the low hanging fruit of the photographic catalogue.

This was taken off of Jomtein Beach as the sun was setting and the vendors were closing up for the day. You can see the Thai’s breaking down the umbrella’s as the tourist sit there and soak up the last bit of sun before having to retire from the beach. It was like watching a game of chicken; who would blink first the Thai’s or the tourists. I can tell you the Thai’s did because at that point there was no more money to be made and for the most part everything was put away for the evening. As I strolled down the walkway I would see the vendors enjoying a well earned beer with each other talking and laughing.

I do not blame the people wanting to enjoy the sunset and the cooling of a hot day. Of course the workers were tired and wanted the day to end so they too could enjoy the cool of the evening. Very nice.
