I spent a lot of time shooting beaches I discovered as I go through these images. In Thailand, unless you are in the middle of the country or up in the north you are surrounded by beaches. The beaches run from pristine to complete crap. Depends on the beach and if its public or private. Figuring I am not a beach guy I find it ironic that I spent the last 45 days living near beaches.
This was a sunset over the Gulf of Thailand. You can see the fishing boats and ferry’s moored out in the calmer waters. One of the things I have learned as a landscape photographer is that if you just wait a few minutes the light can shift dramatically. Lots of factors but don’t just grab your shot and say I’m done. Just hang out for a bit and see what the light does.
I edited this shot while sitting in the Korean Air Lounge at Suvarnabhumi Airport. People were looking at my screen watching what I was doing. I find it amusing. I hope they saw details that I could not on this 13″ screen. It’s not fun doing these type of edits on such a small screen.
