Stamen

Least that is what showed up in Google when I put middle stuff in a flower name. The Stamen is comprised of the anther and the filament. Since everything on the internet is factually correct it cannot be disputed. So these are clearly stamen of weeds that I have shot.

To be honest, the more I work on these photos the more I see where I need to work on this. Holding a flash in one hand and a camera in the other makes life difficult when trying to hold a camera steady. Using a tripod would help but I can’t see some of these places let me setup a tripod and then tell the artless heathens that I am an artist and they are ruining my shot. So I guess I need to practice.

Until then, enjoy the stamen!

  1. Flower Power today. We found your flower photos of Stamens interesting but three of them your father thought was terrible. He loves his flower. He could not understand why you left most of the flower out. The fourth, he loved and it is on our desk top to admire today. Thanks for the pretty flowers.
