One Man. Three Faces.

I have no idea who the guy is. Just one of the random opening bands I shot. I tend to shoot the small acts as warm up for the main. I know it sounds weird, but I like to warm up before I shoot. Most are just garbage images that I toss away but it helps get me into a frame of mind to slow down and enjoy the experience of taking pictures. I will admit that shooting and event or concert is mostly running around and smashing the shutter until your buffer fills. Still, you get into a mindset and you pay attention to what is going on around you to get the images you want and capture the moments as they happen. Yes, serendipity is nice and all, but you still need to gauge and read body language so you know when to mash the shutter button instead of just holding it down and hoping a moment happens. Thats why I like shooting the opening bands. By the time the headliner is on I’m there and in my groove and nailing the shots I want.
