Film Files: Monumental

While I am not sure if the Kennedy Center counts as monument its getting tossed into this. So, my super secret new camera is a Fuji 645 Medium Format. This is the first film camera that I have successfully shot film through and developed it.

I have always wanted to try film and I really love medium format. There is something sexy about the resolution you get out of it. Sadly, the scans are low res jpegs I got from Lomography and I think it will be the last time I use them for development, instead going with a local developer to get the negatives and scan myself at a higher resolution. I’m still excited to see the results. While nothing spectacular and considering I was using older Kodak black and white film I had laying around I am pleased with how they came out. It gives me a reason to continue shooting film and practicing with it as a medium. Enjoy

  1. Like your photos. Don’t think the Kennedy Center is a monument but it is a nice place to attend great Washington events. I like the ducks you caught in your photo in the water. The pencil monument as we called it as children. I like photos such as these, they bring back great memories.
