The Everyday – Part III

Wrapping up the everyday.  These are the final images that I really liked and loved how they turned out.  These were all shot vertically and give them a sense of depth that you don’t always get with a horizontal image.  The final two images were shot just before I left the hotel.  I was walking from packing up the final bit of gear and saw the chair down an empty hall and thought it would be interesting.  Then I saw the light just hitting a spot in the darkened hall so I dragged the chair out and framed the shot and metered it and fired away.  Loved how the color of the chair and the shadows just contrast with the bright colors in the carpet.  When I finished that I saw the piano shoved in a corner so I took the opportunity to shoot my right of passage for almost every photographer, the keyboard shot. Don’t worry, I’ll return to my usual crap photos tomorrow.

  1. Again, your photos are great to look at with all of the colors. Love the blue! Your photos reflect art in ordinary objects and it says that the manufacturers really want to reflect their talents in what they present to the public.
